Home-Based Drug Treatment Program Costs Less And Works

Home-Based Drug Treatment Program Costs Less And Works  | Woodbury Reports Review of News and Opinion Relating To Struggling Teens | Scoop.it
Treating addiction is expensive and patients often relapse. A new company is offering better results at a price that's lower in the long run — and clients get treatment right at home.
Lon Woodbury's insight:

Drub abuse treatment at home as described here makes sense if the professionals know what they are doing and help build the necessary structure the client needs. But, without that structure and skill, a residential program still might be needed.  That is, provided it is designed for drug addiction.  Many therapeutic boarding schools cover other attitudes and emtional problems but are weak in treating addiction.  That probably was the reason the therapeutic boarding school did not work.  Parents and clients have to realize special schools are not all the same and the selection must be made with great care. -Lon
