This article is stating that there isn't a time when you stop  dreaming. After a certain age your dreams start to become more like deja-vu. People say the dreams they have become more boring. They also become less intense.

What Causes Nightmares

This article is explaining some things that might cause nightmares. It states  that a lot of things can cause them. Having stress, being depressed or even having a anxiety disorder can cause nightmares. They also believe if you are on medication that they can cause nightmares. Medicines that act on the brain like narcotics or antidepressants or drugs that lower blood pressure can also bring about bad dreams. Also if they have experianced a nightmare before they might have a harder time falling asleep and are more likely to have a nightmare again.

This is stating about the age of when a human starts to dream. It says that researchers believe that a baby inside of the mothers womb can dream. They say this because you can trace the brain activity inside and compare it to a human that dreams and they are incrediably similar. But this also states that once the child is born they will not dream about themselves until the age of about three. Also it says that the dreams won't become realistic until they are about seven or eight.

This article is explaing that blind people can dream. It states that if you are born blind you will not dream pictures or visions like people with vision but they can dream more intense sounds then what people with vision can hear. Also it states that if you have vision in your life and then go blind that once you are blind you can dream in pictures and your sound will start to increase as time goes on.

Dreams: The Dreaming Process

This is explaining the sleep cycles and when dreams start to occur. In the first stage of sleep you don't dream because the stage only last a few minutes. Stage two is when the dreams start to form, there are no clear images but the sounds and thoughts dirft through your mind. This continues into stage three nothing really changes besides the sleeper is harder to wake at this point. Now the sleeper is in stage four and REM sleep. This is when the dreaming really occurs. If the sleeper is woken she/he will remember the dream unlike the prevous stages.

Thank you for giving such an interesting question I'm going to be pretty quick about answering...humans go through about 3-4 sleep cycles each night but we will assume four...we get dreams in REM sleep which last 20 minutes per sleep cycle...2o...

This article is stating if the average person lives to be about 80 years old that they will dream 2,336,000 minutes in their lifetime. If you do all the math and figure it out it says the average person who lives to be about 80 dreams around 4.44 years in a life time.

This article is stating that most people dream in color but only 83% of people dream in color. That leaves 17% of the worlds people who don't dream in color. It states that age probably has something to do with these studies. They think if you grew up watching black and white TV you are more likely to dream in black and white and people who grew up watching color TV will be more likely to dream in color. People who are more aware of color during the waking hours are more likely to be aware of the colors in there dreams, Such as painters, decorators, or designers.
