What if teachers read this and their teaching included the ideas embedded in authentic ways. For example, never underestimate the power of a kind word, a touch, and a smile. Greeting each child as they walk in the door in an authentic way changes the world we live and teach in.

Do we actually change reality? Or do we encounter it differently? It might be a mixture of both to varying degrees. I approached teaching differently the last few years. It was not so much the teaching, but the people outside my classroom that I changed my attitude about. It helped immensely. I began to deal with things differently and the result was I was left alone by the School managers.

My experience teaches me that whenever I have a different attitude to things, attend to emotions differently or simply see things in another way, people around me and thus my immediate reality changes.
