Jack LoPiccolo's insight:
A criticism of this application would be the lack of audio of this app. I think it would add to the expirience of the app if as the player saw the flag, music form that particular country was played while the player could guess the flag as a sort of hint towards the country. It is just a thought and there is not a lot of information about the application on this particular site, but someone should make an application that encompasses more aspects of the country besides just the flag.

Jack LoPiccolo's insight:
I believe that this article showcases the movement of interactive audio, more specifically in the video-gaming world, thus setting a good foundation for someone who is new to the interactive audio world. With that said, I do not believe that it shows all facets of interactive audio, such as the use of interactive effects in phone applications.
Recently collaborating to bring the latest in location-based technology to the audiobook space, Simon & Schuster Audio and Broadcastr, a new social platform for location-based audio recordings, revealed an experience both companies are calling “The Great Bridge Tour.” The experience is a series of eight audio excerpts from "The Great Bridge," an audio book written by Pulitzer prize-winning author David McCullough.
I wwant this app and I would also love a penthouse apartment looking over central park. A guy can dream can't he? This interactive audio application allows a meseum-like expirence with the Brooklyn Bridge, which I think is a direct link to music and audio to a tangible object. The app allows the listener to play a book about the Brooklyn Bridge while being on a tour of the famous bridge; it also allows the listener to choose what part of the book to listen to while on the tour.
This particular application encompasses the very essense of interactive audio by directly relating the audio to the interactive-ness (if you will). Combining a piano and piano score to a game is a very effective way for children and adults to learn how to play and read music. The pros of this application are rather simple to explain, because the application itself is simple and therefore a good too for people to learn how to play the piano and read basic score notation. The cons of the application lie with the principal of reading music and the playing of a tangible piano, I feel like the phrase "I am a piano performer" will become as common of a phrase as "I am a producer" when neither the aspiring pianist or producer has not actually performed on any professional level.
