This large interactive artwork was built and fabricated for the new Adobe Utah Technology Campus and installed in 2012.The sculpture is 50 feet high top to bottom and sits in the open space of the main stairwell between the bottom and top floor.  As viewers approach the stairs on the ground floor they see a basket containing various colored balls.  The viewer can then grab a single ball, or a hand full if they choose.  As they climb the stairs there are several areas, primarily on each floor, that they can then feed the ball into the track system where it then travels back to the ground floor.

The Visuals Into Auditory Images Transformer : SOXELS | Interactive Art | Scoop.it

http://www.soxels.com/?page_id=60

The Visuals Into Auditory Images Transformer is a media facade that transforms visuals into auditory images. Here the soundscape and the visual reference are directly superimposed on each other by using transparent speakers. Image content projected onto the back side of the Soxels wall, either by using video projectors, or natural light sources such as shadows of people walking by, generate the visuals that are on the very same place transformed into an acoustic collage assembled out of hundreds or thousands of individual sound sources.

An Interactive Cloud Made of 6,000 Light Bulbs

An Interactive Cloud Made of 6,000 Light Bulbs | Interactive Art | Scoop.it
CLOUD is a large scale interactive installation by artist Caitlind r.c. Brown that appeared September 15th as part of Nuit Blanche Calgary in Alberta, Canada. The piece is made from 1,000 working lightbulbs on pullchains and an additional 5,000 made from donated burnt out lights donated by the public. Visitors to the installation could pull the chains causing the cloud to sort of shimmer and flicker, I can’t tell you how much I would have enjoyed seeing this up close or at least on video. Did anyone film it? Learn more about it on the project website, and if you liked this also check out Wang Yuyang’s Artificial Moon. (via my eclectic depiction of life)
