Growth mindset has changed the way I teach, the way I parent my three boys, and the way I face challenging situations and risks.  It has given me the resilience I need while in graduate school.  Dr. Carol Dweck's book, Growth Mindset, is a paradigm-changing book.  I highly recommend it.  Thanks for sharing this great visual representation of Growth vs. Fixed Mindsets.

Este concepto de inteligencias múltiples, dado a conocer por este laureado profesor de Harvard (Howard Gardner) allá por los años ochenta, está ahora más en boga que nunca. De hecho su tesis, además de reconocer al máximo nivel capacidades que antes eran menospreciadas frente a las habilidades académicas tradicionales, ha obligado a muchos pedagogos a intentar replantear el sistema educativo. «Aunque en las primeras etapas todos tenemos que aprender lo mismo, no todos lo hacemos de la misma forma, ni en el mismo momento. Cada uno tiene sus tiempos, y es importante respetarlos», aclara esta experta.

Medir la inteligencia . El famoso IQ pretende medir la inteligencia pero sólo puede medir la habilidad en resolver las tareas de dicho test..... que nunca demostró su autor ni ninguno posterior que esos tests realmente midan la inteligencia, o alguna de las muchas inteligencias múltiples en el ser humano. Lo mismo pasa con las notas, simplemente se evalúa la supuesta adecuación de unas respuestas a unas preguntas, pero, por favor, ¿de dónde sabe el que las escribió que realmente dichas respuestas serán algo más que reproducción de un minúsculo átomo de saber del docente? En los clubs de superdotados europeos figura una serie de personas que resuelven maravillosamente esos tests, pero en su mayor parte son individuos que incluso han fracasado en su vida familiar y social. La SOPHIA, la Sapiencia (como la que describen algunos libros bíblicos, era inteligencia para la vida, no para jugar a rompecabezas geométricos.
