How to Transform Teaching with Tablets

How to Transform Teaching with Tablets | Integrating Technology in The Classroom | Scoop.it

Bereft of examples and inspiration, many educators struggle to conceive of iPad integration beyond mere substitution for whatever came before. Padlet is a free service that lets you create online "sticky notes" that you can share and collaborate on. The notes can include images, links and videos, can be moved and arranged and can be embedded into a website.

It's great for brainstorming, story boarding, organizing, projects and more. It is available online and even has a Chrome app and extension, a Kindle app, Safari and Firefox extensions, and a Wordpress plugin.

It's easy to use and fun and very useful.

Our STEM program is very unique, since it’s in the “specials “rotation for all students that also includes PE, Music and Art. This is the 4th year of the STEM program in Yukon Public Schools. As we’re about to wind down our school year, I thought it would be good to reflect and share about the reasons I love teaching elementary STEM in YPS.
