Intel® The Museum of Me

Intel® The Museum of Me | Integrating Marketing Communications | Scoop.it
Create and explore a visual archive of your social life.
Stan Huynh's insight:

Clicking through a Facebook album is likely to be the modern day equivalent to flicking through an old photo album, Intel has thought about taking this to the next level by developing an application that allows the user to connect their social media profiles with the app which allows them to view the same photos through an online museum. It is clear that the intention here was to create an experience rather than just a new tool or another alternative to view your photos. It goes even further by displaying 'Likes' as you wander through the virtual museum. I see this app having a lot of potential, as it has the functionality and an excitement aspect. However, I think that it lacks an incentive to bring users to the new platform when they are already familiar with the traditional way of browsing a social media platform. In order to achieve success, all channels of IMC need to be analyzed to find a gap where the business will be able to use it with their strategy.

Great Brand Experience: Marc Jacobs Tweet Shop

Great Brand Experience: Marc Jacobs Tweet Shop | Integrating Marketing Communications | Scoop.it
Although New York Fashion Week hasn’t even started yet, high-end fashion house Marc Jacobs is already the talk of the event thanks to this great planned brand experience – the Marc Jacobs Tweet Shop.
Stan Huynh's insight:

As part of New York Fashion Week, Marc Jacobs opened an pop-up shop where standard currency will have no traditional value.  Instead, the pop up concept store will allow shoppers to pay for items using tweets, Facebook posts and Instagram snaps, ensuring that fans will spread the word online by using the hashtag #MJDaisyChain. This shows that in some cases that the value of a company profile far out weights the value of business profits, especially in an event where there are so many competitors that are clashing head to head in the same space.
