Free Technology for Teachers: Stop Motion Studio Offers a Great Way to Make Videos

Free Technology for Teachers: Stop Motion Studio Offers a Great Way to Make Videos | Integrating iPad in elementary | Scoop.it
Stop Motion Studio is a great app for creating stop motion videos. The app is available for iOS, Android, Windows, and Mac operating systems. The basic (free) version of Stop Motion Studio lets you take as many pictures as you like and string them together in a sequence that plays back at a frame-per-second rate of your choosing. Each frame can be edited individually before you produce the final video. You can also add narration to your video in the basic version of the app. Completed projects can be saved to your device and from there you can share them on YouTube or on your favorite social network.

STEAM is not a class, a thing, or a trend…. it’s THE WORLD. @KrissyVenosdale

STEAM is not a class, a thing, or a trend…. it’s THE WORLD. @KrissyVenosdale | Integrating iPad in elementary | Scoop.it
STEAM is the world.   It’s not a class, a club, or an event.  It’s the connection of learning with the world.   We debate the letters and what they mean, we reduce STEAM to a time in school, and we even argue it’s relevance.

All the while, STEAM is the world.  Good design?  It uses every aspect of STEAM, without formality and without even thinking about it.

STEAM es tal y como es el mundo. No es una clase, un club o un evento. Es la necesaria conexión  entre el aprendizaje y el mundo

Everything I Need To Know About Education ... I Learned In Kindergarten! - iPads in Education | Integrating iPad in elementary | Scoop.it

I was recently giving a workshop at a local elementary school. Walking around and speaking to teachers and children it suddenly dawned on me that several of the "revolutionary" educational changes we've been calling for have actually already been around for quite a while - just talk a stroll down to the Kindergarten classes.

Don't be cautious.  If you have the right technology, little can go wrong. This is is a great reminder of what matters in education (strike that) learning.
