Google now delivers Universal Search results—those that include a blend of links, videos, images, news, shopping listings, and map data—for 81% of all US searches, according to a recent report from Searchmetrics.
The analysis was based on data from millions of keyword searches conducted on Google.com in the United States between January and December 2013. The number of results that include Universal Search integrations has steadily increased over time and is up six percentage points from 2012, it found.
“SEO has changed dramatically in the past several years, and with increasing emphasis by Google in search quality, the Knowledge Graph and improving search quality, these changes are only likely to accelerate,” “What it means for publishers is that they need to focus their SEO strategies on where Google is going, not on ‘what works now.’
The overhaul of Facebook’s ad campaign structure, originally announced last November, will begin rolling out March 4, with the major change being the addition of a new level, ad sets, which will be placed between the two existing layers, campaigns and ads.
