I really like this topic and this topic actually giving out a good example of the effective communication mix. Direct marketing actually one of the good tools in IMC. The company employ staff that special sending direct email, internet, printing... But we need to make good use of all our network resources. Alothough people offen go one the internet but not much people will check their email. While those people check their email will only check on the useful link. Which they will look at the title of the email first or advertising email will directly send to the junk email. Through this case, although the internet resources is very useful but we need to make good use with it.

Great article Danielle, like you say bombarding people with flyers in their letter boxes won't create a response from consumers but setting in place a strategic marketing strategy to work out how they can effectively target their customers, will have much more of a positive response. A marketing strategy is essential in using direct marketing as a communication tool because without it the effectiveness of the campaign is lost.

As today, more and more companies start to realize the importance of the direct marketing. Direct mail, as one of the most important tools for direct marketing, still plays a big role communicating with the customers. The research showed that 83 percent of direct mail is opened in comparison to average email open rates of 11 percent in UK and 44 percent of consumers have visited store, purchased or enquired the product after received the direct mails from the company. The research tells us even nowadays more and more companies chose using direct email instead of direct mail, sending mail is still an important tool to reach certain consumers.

Direct mail marketing is seen as a dieing source. Within todays modern technological society, social media, email, internet etc. is seen to be such a better and more advance way to market a company or product that it has left many wondering if there is a future for mail marketing. Response is carefully measured in an attempt to take the waste out of marketing and should be part of your long-term strategy. Activity through virtually any media can be classed as direct marketing.

This article is very useful. It briefly describes how to use the promotion plan more effective and clear. It is important to have a marketing plan we have to predict that the majority of amount of money will spend on when we doing promotion. As the article said we could have different components in our promotion plan for example the projected cost of the year. Most likely in order to make the report more accurate large amount research are needed.. There are many way for us to do the promotions, the most common will be advertising like newspaper and marketing collateral like brochures and newspaper… There are many tests to do in order to make our plan more successful and fit to the market. It also mean that in planning an new product or an object, we need to make sure that the plan do not over budget To conclude, it is very important for us to clearly understand our business objective and our target market. This may help us to have a clear planning and always need to make sure the plan is always adjustable.

Very good article on how important promotional planning is key aspect to marketing. I agree on the term that it is very important that marketers need to research their target market so it makes the advertising more efficient when coming to promote the product/service. I agree with everything you have stated Didia.

This is a good article and i agree with what Didia common. Start with a good planning is very important. Through the planning business always need to plan for the objective first, after that all the decision that we make need to surrounding the business objective. According to the article, during the planning large amount of data are needed. The data will help us to improve the planing and let the planning can go deeper and deeper. Also clearly understand our target market and business is very important. Program planning, objectives, budgets and measuring success are extremely useful and will give the business the biggest help in the market.
