OK - this might be great, but we have many color blind students.

Mary Starry's curator insight, June 14, 2014 9:11 AM

I don't see color used very often on pharmacy webpages or handouts. Maybe we consider our subject matter as too serious to incorporate color.  However, color can help with learning. A key point here is to use bold, not bright!

Now this is really cool & clever.  Being able to use your smartphone in a conference as a wireless lav microphone.  No internet connection needed (though you do need a router).   It seems like a perfect app for public speakers to know about...as long as they're comfortable hearing from the crowd.

Lynn Rose's curator insight, February 26, 2015 10:31 AM

AMAZING to use if you're a speaker or need to present to a small room and want to be amplified on the go - or if you're filming or the uses are endless. COOL!  (I speak to thousands at a time but I love when I'm asked to speak to a small room or when I have my own small gatherings and this could be such a FUN solution - though real mics ARE, of course, preferred).   AND that it has commenting and polling, too?  WOW!

This is the second perspective on Maslow's hierarchy I have seen in the past few weeks.  As we try to make learning more rigorous and more inclusive for all students the importance of meeting student needs in a variety of ways is very important.  This must include Social/emotional as well as technological.
