edcanvas - teach with digital content

edcanvas - teach with digital content | Innovations Meeting - May | Knowledge Management JHUCCP | Scoop.it
photoshare's insight:

Edcanvas describes their model as "The best way to teach with digital content". It is certainly a great way to curate content. In evaluating, I reviewed for the standard features: ability to link to urls, add with social media, add uploads, and a browser collection tool. I found them all and felt that the design and layout were just right. Tiles and tabs, in a nice way.

In reviewing this approach, I’ve noticed the eDucation crowd has a knack for presenting content curation, aggregation, and enhancement that focuses on sharing. That makes sense, a natural product of engaged users and learns - sharing.

Framework for Monitoring and Evaluating Efforts to Reposition Family Planning — MEASURE Evaluation | Innovations Meeting - May | Knowledge Management JHUCCP | Scoop.it
Judice NR, Snyder E (2012)

The U.S. Agency for International Development's Office of Population and Reproductive Health, in collaboration with the World Health Organization and other partners, has engaged in an initiative to reposition family planning in sub-Saharan Africa. Three key approaches for achieving this goal are advocating for policy change, strengthening leadership, and improving capacity to deliver services. As a result, there is a need for a framework by which countries and programs can monitor and evaluate their progress toward repositioning family planning.

Gooru is educational resources curation, in a lesson planning way- all the way through to learning, in the slideshow presentation way.  The interface is a little more rigid than some other similar approaches, but it makes up for that with some vigorous aggregation – providing adaptable options.  It also has the standard tools for pulling together various types and styles of content.
