Open Data, a New Platform for Cities | Innovation in Government | Scoop.it

Many cities are adopting data analytics to improve public services. Cities are learning that data collected can be used to shorten transit times, assist in the replacement of failing infrastructure, and even make parking easier. Concesa Cooper's curator insight, September 23, 2013 8:30 PM

Getting the scoops on contracting with the federal marketplace is like finding a needle in a haystack.  And I speak from having had over 20 years of dealing with government procurement working for someone else.  I am in the seed stage as an EDWOSB general contractor and even my State of Hawaii does not have a WBC (Women Business Center).  I hope I've SCOOPED something tangible, but only time will tell.

"It is fantastic that there are large swaths of budget data available in the UK thanks to legislation and the great work of websites like Openly Local. But having the data means little if it is poorly coded, and if it is hard to standardize across jurisdictions."

Etude Deloitte: l'Open Data vecteur de croissance et d'innovation | Innovation in Government | Scoop.it
