Education 3.0 and the Pedagogy (Andragogy, Heutagogy) of Mobile Learning

Education 3.0 and the Pedagogy (Andragogy, Heutagogy) of Mobile Learning | Innovation | Scoop.it

Many educators are doing Education 1.0; talking about doing Education 2.0; when they should be planning and implementing Education 3.0. This post compares the developments of the Internet-Web to those of education. The Internet has become an integral thread of the tapestries of most societies throughout the globe. The web influences people’s way of thinking, doing and being; and people influence the development and content of the web.

The one point I really like is the definition of Education 3.0 - planning and implementing education.  The key is being thoroughly infused and reinvented.

Innovation and Innovative Capacity Is Essential for Success

Innovation and Innovative Capacity Is Essential for Success | Innovation | Scoop.it

Innovation is essential to making your company successful. Without innovation, starting a company is like reinventing the proverbial wheel – you will be doing the same things that made other companies successful, without actually bringing anything new to the table. If someone has already established that a concept is successful, what could possibly make anyone choose your company? Sure, the ideas behind it are proven successful, but they already have an established reputation and clientele.

I like how there is new technology in this world. I think that it is good that we are discovering new things that can make life easier. But I also have some problems with it. I just think that people are to fixed into technology that they don't really have a life outside of it.

This is absolutely true and old news unfortunately. I was harping on about introduction of 6sigma and the demise of Motorola value which was then mapped neatly in a Business Section front page chart in the Financial Times a few years ago. Innovation is not about reduction in variability, it is precisely about spotting the patterns or surprises in variability that often leads to new insights.

Why Teaching Helps Students Learn More Deeply

Why Teaching Helps Students Learn More Deeply | Innovation | Scoop.it

Students enlisted to tutor others, these researchers have found, work harder to understand the material, recall it more accurately and apply it more effectively. In a phenomenon that scientists have dubbed “the protégé effect,” student teachers score higher on tests than pupils who are learning only for their own sake.
