Not only are you able to increase your own intelligence orientation you can also explore other methods of learning which will certainly increase your neural network..  For example, if you are a visual learner, you could combine this logical-mathematical.  Just think:  you could see numbers and learn to add up and multiply much faster.  You could also store your bank account numbers in the visual area of the brain...................................Just think of how you can increase your brain power!!

Have a look at www.hotmoodle.com for different examples of learning.

Two Great Periodic Tables of Educational iPad Apps ~ Educational Technology and Mobile Learning

Two Great Periodic Tables of Educational iPad Apps ~ Educational Technology and Mobile Learning | Innovating Ideas in Education | Scoop.it

"Today as I was wading through my Twitter feeds I came across a link to the periodic table of iPad apps created by ICTEvangelist.Upon checking this work I learned that it is inspired by a relatively similar work done by Sean Junkins which I have featured in an earlier post in this blog. Different as they are, both of these periodic tables provide an interesting collection of educational iPad apps you could probably consider using with your students. These apps are arranged under different categories and each of these categories  has a unique colour code to help you identify apps belonging it. The labelling of the categories in these two periodic tables slightly differ from one another with ICTEvangelist tending to repurpose his work for UK-based educational settings."

My daughter came home with a Maths assignment. It's theme - "Tax in Australia". The focus was determining tax structures for each income level of their 4 candidates- a school kid working part time, a mum working 30 hours a week, a self employed trades person and an executive working in his two companies. The problem was they were using a tax booklet with tax rates from 2008 and there was no explanation of how to actually pay the tax. No explanation of what GST is and what should and shouldn't be claimed and why. I understand that these are complex issues however shouldn't our kids have a basic understanding of this when they leave school? After all, they pay tax for the rest of their life. Money, finance, debt, tax and how to plan financially should be taught at school, not how to use an Ipad Iphone etc. Children educate themselves with these devices. Budgeting and the use of money however is something that should be taught...
