BBC iPlayer sees daytime peak for radio

Stats from the BBC’s iPlayer show peak radio listening is during daytime hours at 12pm, rather than the traditional breakfast slot on FM. And most requests are to listen to live radio rather than catch-up programmes, unlike television where around only 1 in 8 requests for live TV.

See more about this - and meet 4D Pipeline at the Augmented World Expo - May 27-29, Santa Clara, CA, USA. #AWE2014

Need idea from Metaio - they are experimenting with using an infrared camera and AR feedback to turn "any" surface into a touchscreen.

The infrared is neat as it can (sometimes) detect if a surface has been actually touched (or if the finger was just hovering over it).

The tech still looks early days but it's a nice idea which might work.

Social, mobile, real-time, cloud, geo-loco, ephemeral, wearable, AR, makers, sharing economy, beacons, IoT, second screen.

Walk into any coffee shop in San Francisco and you’ll hear one or more of these buzzwords voiced more than you’ll hear “please,” “thank you,” or “you’re welcome.” But that’s what makes the tech sector rich material for shows such as HBO’s new comedy series “Silicon Valley” right?

NAB 2014 wouldn't be the same without Livestream, one of the internet's most popular broadcasting services, introducing new hardware or software. As such, Livestream has just announced another way for users to share video on its site: an application for Google Glass. Obviously, Livestream isn't the first to bring this feature to the wearable set, since you can already use the search giant's own Hangouts app to broadcast what you're seeing.
