Badges fascinate me.  I can picture librarians using them as "rewards" for people who attend their trainings.  The staff can collect a backpack of badges to dispaly on their teacher website or other appropriate place.

This is an interesting idea to use in the classroom. It would motivate students to improve their skills to achieve these badges. I would suggest implementing these with some incentive system so that students pursue these badges instead of earning them passively as useless labels. These badges can be useful to track progress of historical thinking skills.

2014-2016 Technology Lending Program Grant

 

The purpose of the 2014-2016 Technology Lending Program Grant is to award grants to Texas public school districts and open-enrollment charter schools to implement a technology lending program to loan students the equipment necessary to access and use electronic instructional materials. The grant period is from October 1, 2014, through August 31, 2016.

 

The Competitive Grant Selection Lists webpage contains the list of applicants that have been preliminarily selected for competitive grant programs administered by the Division of Grants Administration at TEA. You can view the list for the 2014-2016 Technology Lending Program Grant by clicking on the grant program name under the 2014-2016 school years.
