Digital Citizenship Poster

Digital Citizenship Poster | Information Powerhouses | Scoop.it

Go way beyond Internet safety. Turn students into great digital citizens.

Get all the tools you need with our FREE Digital Literacy and Citizenship Curriculum and Parent Media Education Program. The relevant, ready-to-use instruction helps you guide students to make safe, smart, and ethical decisions in the digital world where they live, study and play.

Every day, your students are tested with each post, search, chat, text message, file download, and profile update. Will they connect with like minds or spill TMI to the wrong people?

Will they behave creatively or borrow ideas recklessly? Will they do the right thing or take shortcuts?

Dr. Laura Sheneman's insight:

I hope you are celebrating this week with students you know - young or old.  If you are a business, I hope you find a way to connect with a local school to encourage them to participate in this endeavor.

Vivalist's curator insight, December 7, 2014 4:02 PM

yet another list of great tools to teach computer programming to kids. Good resources there.

I tried some of the hour of code exercises with my 6years old and it's great... she gets it right away and the benefits are instantaenous. She felt "empowered" and pride of her achievment. Very well designed so kids are never overwhelmed by info and instructions.

Maybe not exactly about design abilities, but interesting thing about eLearning how to code.
