Good read. It highlights the people factor with Big Data. Should organizations renew their teams with people armed with new technologies. Or should they invest in their team, with risk that the can adjust to the salary impact this will raise?
At Talend, we feel that organizations should look at information integration and analytical solutions that runs on top and ease the onboarding on the existing team from the very begining. (not to mention the impact on productivity on continuous improvement, eg being able to adopt the next gen of technology as it comes to market with minimal impact on skills).
