Inside an Amazon Warehouse

Seth Dixon's curator insight, December 16, 2012 9:06 PM

During the holiday season, online sales shoot up as distant relatives seek to ship gifts in time for Christmas.  Some have noted that online shoppers can stay at home and completely render the tradition physical storefront redundant.  Online shoppers, whether they think about it or not, hoping that the physical logistics behind the scenes will work efficiently and quickly.  This collection of images is a reminder that while it might appear that geography and location are eliminated with online communications, these virtual interactions in cyberspace are dependent on actual physical locations.

Ο τροχός , η φυσική και η ιστορία | Informatics Technology in Education | Scoop.it

The 7 Golden Rules of Using Technology in Schools| The Committed Sardine

The 7 Golden Rules of Using Technology in Schools| The Committed Sardine | Informatics Technology in Education | Scoop.it
Sometimes teachers and administrators need a kick in the pants to see what they perceive as problems re-framed in a different way. Adam S. Bellow, author of The Tech Commandments, and founder of eduTecher, spoke to a roomful of receptive teachers at the recent ISTE 2011 conference, and demonstrated some of the ironies and contradictions the education system is mired in. And he had some advice.
1) DON’T TRAP TECHNOLOGY IN A ROOM. “When I went to school, computers were put in a room called The Lab,” Bellow said. “‘What are they experimenting with in there, I thought.’ ...

Ιστορία της Τεχνολογίας | Informatics Technology in Education | Scoop.it
