The Houston Association of Realtors will outsource the provision of listing syndication services to its 26,000 members to Move Inc.’s ListHub subsidiary, the companies said today.

 

The agreement with HAR brings the number of multiple listing service and broker data sources ListHub supports to 454, representing 90 percent of the listings in the nation.

First, the bad news – residential construction in Chicagoland remains historically low, and is among the lowest of all major metropolitan housing markets.

Now, the good news – at the same time, residential building has risen 65 percent in the last year, and is up a robust 48 percent year-to-date, according to the latest numbers from McGraw Hill Construction.

In the future, that may change. Google, Facebook and Apple are all developing tools that will allow us to search the way we speak naturally, even though searching for the kinds of non-specific, abstract or latent concepts we use in real life — "where is a good place to eat dinner?" — generally produces useless search results.
