While 26% of respondents reported being a victim of online or mobile fraud, 48% of the consumer audience continue to check account statuses/balances , and 32% continue to pay bills online.

A LivingSocial spokesperson said the company has begun reaching out to the more than 50 million customers whose data may have been compromised. Leaked data includes names, e-mail addresses, dates of birth and encrypted passwords. Customers' credit card information and merchants' financial and banking information were not affected by the hack, LivingSocial said.

Mobile device users sent an average of 36.6 billion messages per day throughout 2012. Not all of them were text messages, however. In fact, fewer than half were routed through traditional, carrier-based SMS services. Analyst house Informa says that 19 billion messages were sent each day from mobile chat apps, while 17.6 billion were sent via Short Message Service.

RE/MAX agents continue to lead the industry, ranking as the most productive among the elite national real estate franchises, according to preliminary results from the 2013 RISMedia Power Broker Report Top 500 

 

The report showed the productivity of RE/MAX agents was more than double the average of all other competing agents in 2012. An analysis of the data also showed that 71 RE/MAX brokerages were among the best 100, when ranked by transaction sides per agent.
