The 10-story, 6,200-square-foot structure with three bedrooms and four bathrooms was designed by Phoenix architect Sukumar Pal. Pal designed his home so the tubular tower portion causes heat to rise and vent in the summer but capture the heat during the winter.

Winter 2017 home sales remained strong during February with the 7,391 closings representing the second highest total for the month, according to the housing market report released today by the New York State Association of REALTORS®. The January statewide median sales price of $242,000 represents an increase of 4.3 percent from a year ago.

Based on signed contracts, statewide pending home sales decreased in February on a seasonally adjusted basis, with the Pending Home Sales Index (PHSI)* declining 2.6 percent from 113.5 in February 2016 to 110.6 in February 2017, marking the weakest February in three years. On a monthly basis, California pending home sales were up 3.2 percent from the January index of 107.2.
