The Case-Shiller data for October came out this morning, and based on this information and the November 2013 Zillow Home Value Index (ZHVI, released December 19th) we predict that next month’s Case-Shiller data (November 2013) will show that both the non-seasonally adjusted (NSA) 20-City Composite Home Price Index and the NSA 10-City Composite Home Price Index increased 13.7 percent on a year-over-year basis.

Today, S&P Dow Jones Indices released its results for the Case-Shiller Home Prices Indices which showed an annual increase of 5.4% in January 2016 for national home prices.

Average home prices for the top 10 metropolitan areas is up by 5.1%, and up 5.7% in the top 20 metropolitan areas.

The Gross Domestic Product, that is, the value of everything a nation produces, increased at an annual rate of 0.8% in the first quarter of 2016, which is higher than the original advance estimate, according to the "second" estimate released by the Bureau of Economic Analysis.

This is compared to GDP increasing 1.4% in the fourth quarter.
