Once again, foreclosure inventory declined 30% annually in November, and completed foreclosures decreased by 25.9% from November 2015, according to the report. Since November of 2015, foreclosures dropped from 35,000 to 26,000. This represents a decrease of 78.2% from September 2010’s peak of 118,339 foreclosures.

According to this chart by Statista, based on data from CVE Details, Android's operating system saw the most number of vulnerabilities in 2016. That means Android was much more prone to a software glitch that could lead to hacker attacks than some of its competitors, including Apple's iOS which saw only a third of the number of vulnerabilities than the Android did.

US wages in December rose at the fastest pace since mid-2009, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics' employment report released Friday.

Average hourly earnings increased by 2.9% year-on-year. The economy added 156,000 jobs in December, which is fewer than expected but extends the record streak of job creation in the US.

According to the FHA, it will cut the annual mortgage insurance premiums most borrowers will pay by one-quarter of a percentage point, or 25 basis points.

The FHA said that it projects that its new premium rates will save new FHA-insured homeowners an average of $500 in 2017 alone.

A recent storm spelled the end of the enormous tree, which was possibly over a thousand years old. Volunteers at Calaveras Big Trees State Park in California noted before the incident that there was only one branch left alive at the top, and the hole had rendered the tree vulnerable to fire and lifting. Sadly, it has come to pass.
