Goa hard or Goa Home...That was the slogan everyone kept saying on my program this weekend! We were all extremely excited for our mid-semester vacation to Goa. The Wild Encounter in Gir | Clay | Gateway to India | Scoop.it
The word, ‘Gir’ is today synonymous with the Lion. It is the only remaining natural habitat of the Asiatic Lion, which thankfully, seems to be doing well there. Korlai Fort and Lighthouse - Lonely Planet

Korlai Fort and Lighthouse - Lonely Planet | Gateway to India | Scoop.it

One of the most difficult times for a long distance rider is when his body stops listening, starts malfunctioning and lands him into a soup! Last night had taken a terrible toll on my body, thanks to the high fever I had developed in the evening! I had been shivering all night under doses of antibiotics and antipyretics and things were looking extremely grim when I went off to sleep, thinking about calling off the trip.

he most famous of France's four trading posts in India was, until recently, a sleepy backwater with little evidence of its former status. The opening of a new coastal highway has new reduced the bus journey from Chennai to less than 4 hours and, inevitably, the number of visitors is growing.Established in the early 18th century and with short interludes of Dutch and British control, it finally entered independent India in 1954.
