Inclusive teaching and learning
Many learners struggle to engage with formal education. This can be for a range of reasons and there's no simple answer to any of them. This site is about reducing the barriers to engagement wherever possible. It will often focus on technology but that's only because technology has a lot to offer in many contexts. Other 'human based' approaches can be just as effective so they'll also get space when they cross the horizon.

alistairm 's insight:

Such easy access to millions of open access articles (19 M+). If only all publicly funded research were so readily available. From my quick look at the site they were in PDF format. I tested three completely different articles for accessibility and reflow and magnification worked well but reading order got a bit scrambled with some pullquotes and side boxes. Still - more accessible PDFs than some I've seen from some commerical publishers!

Innovative Ideas for Using Google Forms

alistairm 's insight:

I had some problems getting on to the site with the links to Google forms ideas but the ones I explored were good ideas so seems worth putting up with some error messages from the page - though I didn't sign in to Google. Didn't see why I needed to sign into Google to view a web page so I didn't bother.
