Find Your Inner Mandela: A Tribute and Call to Action

Find Your Inner Mandela: A Tribute and Call to Action | InBiz4Good | Scoop.it
He didn’t cling to power. He empowered.

Carol Sherriff's insight:

I was a little cautious reading this the first time. Such tributes and thought pieces can be tacky. This one however does justice to the man and calls us all to find the inner strengths to make a similar contribution to a better world.

An excellent article that encapsulates the spirit of the late President of South Africa.  It's simply amazing how he retained his humanity and humility after years of imprisonment.  One can learn much from the life he led.  Aloha, Russ.

Think about your role as a librarian and aim to develop these habits.  It will keep us on the cutting edge of transformation.

ASPEL Editor's curator insight, January 14, 5:01 AM

Often times we are faced with the temptation to reach for a fast (and potentially wrongheaded) solution. However, a good strategic leader holds steady, synthesizing information from many sources before developing a viewpoint. If your leader lacks some level of peripheral vision, it can leave your company vulnerable to rivals who detect and act on ambiguous signals. We need strategic leaders who will foster open dialogue, build trust and engage key stakeholders, especially when views diverge. Find out how to become the strategic leader your company needs!
