Rubrics are far superior than a teacher simply "knowing" what a grade should be. If nothing else, rubrics make clear to students what the target is.

Thanks for sharing this resource. Rubrics answer many questions before these questions are asked, make clear to students how they will be evaluated, and greatly reduce the arguing over grades that can occur.
