Here is what I like about this article: the concrete examples of stuff most people say in a presentation that doesn't work, and then rewrites to show how to storify that statement, or share a story instead.

Delivering great presentations takes lots of practice and delivering occasional duds. Yet if you follow the advice here in this article, you can nail it every single time. (**Secret: the same tips apply to creating awesome blogs)

I really like the example of how to turn a statistic into a story. After incorporating these tips, I hope all your presentations are award-winning!

The "Attention Method" for Effective PowerPoint Presentations | immersive media | Scoop.it
This is a method of constructing effective PowerPoint presentations in a way that helps your audience pay attention to you and understand your ideas more fully. With Attention Method, the slides are designed to add power, emphasis, and deeper understanding to your well-scripted speech. You flip slides often so that, at any given time, your slides always support only what you're saying and contain no distracting information. Instead of one slide with several bullets, each slide should contain one idea expressed in vibrant images and minimalistic text.

LOL, it's Sunday, I'm slogging away at the computer and ran across the latest cartoon from my favorite biz cartoonist Tom Fishburne. It made me laugh so I wanted to share. And take a break from my writing project :))

Why did I grin when I saw this? Because meetings (along with PowerPoint presentations) can be so boring! Don't you just wish you could be the guy in the cartoon writing on the wall? Ahhhh, fantasies abound...

Moral: create storied ads, share stories in meetings, craft storied presentations! Check out the other cartoons (especially the one on authenticity and transparency) and enjoy the day --
