Mistakes are an opportunity to explore.
Trisha Ahrent Beamish's curator insight, August 6, 6:37 PM

I scooped this because locally we need to recognize that students and teachers all make mistakes and that is how we learn.  I think sometimes, state and local leaders forget or don't know the area they are making decisions on and that mistakes are okay and actually create a great amount of learning.

I believe teaching is an very interesting and noble professional as it allows to meet with the daily challenges and the more you overcome them the more you evolve as a better teacher. Learning can also be fun and enjoying if it is channelised in proper way. Great piece! Really difficult to change the habit of some teachers and students who like to be handed the photocopied piece of research though. Would love to see more of this!
John Rudkin's comment, February 26, 2013 3:16 AM
I has to change though. The continuation of the tardy old ways has to be swept aside. That approach can have its place - there needs to be a blend (of course), but attitudes need to change.
Deborah Owen's curator insight, February 26, 2013 9:19 AM

3 Reasons To Change The Way You Teach by Oskar Cymerman

3 Reasons To Change The Way You Teach by Oskar Cymerman | immersive media | Scoop.it

Nobody is perfect. Everyone can improve. And to improve, you must change.

lessons that suck. They're no fun for anyone. Commit to saying "no more" to
mind numbing "blah" strategies that do not promote active learning.

Do it because...
