An effective marketing mix based around the four P’s (Price, Place, Product and Promotion) is vital in when creating a successful business or product.  And the author gives the reader a step by step process in how to go about creating an effective communication mix. Firstly, identifying your target audience is important because it decides what communication techniques to select to reach audiences. It will also determine how you market your product in accordance to their wants and needs. Next step is defining your key message points, which are the most essential points you want to communicate with your target audience. Your message should be easy to understand, as generally people tend to fade away from things that confuse them. Step 3 is identifying apertures. Identifying your apertures is looking at any opportunities you may have in reaching your target audiences, this will again lead to the development of suitable advertising to promote to the audience. Moreover, writing the plan, this is the process helps organize your communications objectives and strategies. The last stage is identifying your tactics. This means aligning your strategies and apertures with the techniques that best suit your target audience. These steps need to link together to create an effective marketing mix.

Great insight. I think this is a great article in relation to our week 6 coursework because it gives a great develop on how to set up an effective communication mix. In order to implement a good strategy through the marketing promotional mix, there are five steps listed:
1. Identify your target audiences
2. Create your key message points
3. Identify your apertures
4. Write your plan
5. Identify your tactics.
As long as you follow these steps, marketing communication mix will not be a problem to your business anymore.

This article outlines the importance of developing an effective marketing communication mix. effective communication with consumers is vital for any business. This part comes under the promotion part of the marketing plan. It is important to have a variety of communication techniques as the target audience for every product is diverse. This articles states 6 ways of developing a good communications mix: 1) its important to have identify the target audience: this can be done by a good extensive research. The target audience needs to be further segmented into categories such as current customers, prospective customers and early adopters 2) Create your key message points: it is important to pin point the key messages that the company wants to impart to the consumers 3) Identify your apertures: it is important to find out the opportunities or openings to reach their audience. Its good to use tactics that would appeal to the target audience. Effective communication is vital for integrated marketing communications. communication is not a straight forward or a single dimmentional thing. This format of article is very common I am seeing on scoop-it. it is there explaining what practises work best and in this case online sources such as e-mailing and newletters are the focus. Personally If a business was interested in this way of marketing then this article would help, however i agree with German that in todays time, it could have stretched out to cover more of the online sources of todays time.

Good insight, Joly! After I read this article, it helps me to understand how to improve direct marketing. The 5 best direct marketing practices are engaging titles, minimize the pictures, assure your web page link are evident, related content and analyze your E-mail. I completely agree with the second point about minimizing pictures. Nowadays, majority of people like access their e-mails through smartphones. Pictures take a lot longer to load than text, especially on phones with limited data. So lots of people will tend to delete the message straight away.

In this current sales marketing there are various other ecommerce retailers who are also competing for the same traffic. So the business needs to apply these five useful ways to boost their sales. I think it is important that ecommerce website includes social sharing buttons. As my experience, when I shop online, I like to share my favorites with my friends. This article is a brief definition of what marketing communication mix is. Marketing communications mix is same as a promotion mix, It refers to successfully targets the desired audiences. The communication mix includes a range of methods to promote the products to target customers. They are advertising, personal selling, discounts and promotions, public relations, direct marketing and event sponsorship. Advertising is often the most prominent element of the communication mix. Advertising includes all the company messages that need to deliver to the target audience. A successful advertisement can attract consumer’s attention and build brand image as well. Another important element is discounts and promotions. Majority of people are easily attracted by discounts and promotion. This communication tool not only can increase product revenue, but also attract new customer and clear out extra inventory. So business gives significant exposure and increases brand awareness. There are five methods that companies can use for promotional purposes. It clearly outlines advertising, personal selling, discounts and promotions, public relations, direct marketing and event sponsorship can benefit a company. I think all the elements are important, company use one or more than one to communication mix channel to reach the target market.
