Here is a great tip for adding music to your Google Slides Presentation.

Candi Whitman's curator insight, April 27, 2015 4:41 PM

Music always enhances.   Never put too much information on a slide.  That's what talking is for, and I like to keep them up only 10-15 seconds so you keep people's interest.

Great teaching is not about technology-it's about being a learner, who takes risks!

Jarrod Johnson's curator insight, May 12, 2015 6:27 PM

It is not about being a tech-savvy teacher, it is about embracing the fact that we do not, and cannot know everything, but that we are comfortable learning and trying with the students. "If you are not learning in the 21st century you should not be teaching in the 21st century."

sammierose88's curator insight, July 23, 2015 3:34 PM

I’ve been so focused on finding information on hybrid/blended/flipped/ technology savvy classrooms I was humbly reminded of something by reading this article. A teacher cannot only focus on the technology side of class; they also need to focus on being quality teachers. This article points out great mindsets teachers should welcome into their teaching schema.

I like TED-Ed videos, but prefer to use Zaption to find the  videos (plus you can find YouTube, Vimeo, your own..and more videos).

Why? With Zaption, you can add questions IN the video, plus you can add images, text and links...IN the video. With TED-Ed lessons-the questions/discussions only happen after you've viewed the video. I don't work for Zaption, just like their product..

I agree with the teacher's assessment-your students need variety-they don't need all of the content converted to videos.
