A bit of a edu-tisement for U.F. but this graphic has a ton of info points on music and it's value in learning.

Terry Doherty's curator insight, July 1, 9:44 AM

The bottom line is that U of F wants you to think about being a music educator. I really focused on the research about how music helps with language skills.

After my experiences with Scratch it is definitely a resource that you could use with students. I did find parts of it challenging, however this is because it is completely new to me. If students were introduced to programming at an early stage it would not appear so daunting to them.
Katrina Elliott's comment, May 13, 2013 3:15 AM
I found that it would be a suitable design resource for high school students. I found it challenging, however very engaging and addictive. I am unsure how this would benefit all students, as it was difficult in some areas to program and get perfect. Personally, I wouldn't use this program within my classroom.
