- make a minute-long presentation about a chosen picture in the target language

- make vocabulary cards with clear audio definitions of the chosen word added to the picture

- practice making speeches privately, to be shared later in class

Self-Directed vs. Self-Determined Learning; What's the Difference? | Languages, ICT, education | Scoop.it

"We need to move beyond the idea that an education is something that is provided for us, and toward the idea that an education is something that we create for ourselves." - Stephen Downes In this age of abundance of information, shifting classroom pedagogy isn't nearly enough to make learning in school more relevant and authentic for the learner. What are the Biggest Mistakes Teachers Make When Integrating Technology into the Classroom? | Languages, ICT, education | Scoop.it

The word “mistake” is a harsh word. It implies flaws, pointing fingers, errors in judgement, something wrong and possibly even a dead end.
