Teachers if you're considering introducing your students to blogging then this is a handy list of relevant terminology. Blogging as a form of social media is by no means new, but that doesn't mean that everyone is familiar with the language associated with it, or similar media. It's easy to assume that because we are comfortable using certain tools and technologies in the classroom that learners will be as well. Don't assume. Find out.

 

With each tool or technology that we adopt in the classroom we often consider the benefits and effectiveness they are going to have on the learning process and the level of digital literacies required to enable a seamless workflow, but how many of us think about the basics such as the language required to enable seamless communication when initially adopting this artefact?
