I found this article very eyes opening. It show how Visual learning is very useful when it come to people with autism. I believe that most people especially children who have started learning learn and remember best visually. They are more likely to recall what they have previously learned.

In this article I learned and was informed on various methods on working with autistic students and their behavioral issues. This is first done by identifying the behavior and what is causing it other then the disability. Challenging behavior like kicking and biting is not only displayed by autistic students but it does present more of a challenge for educators to manage and be able to work this these students to correct the behavior. After identifying what the issue is and what is triggering the undesired behavior then we must move on to a solution or ways of implementing changes to correct the behavior. Ultimately the only way that will correct this is by demonstrating the desired behavior and following it with positive reinforcement.

This year has brought many changes to society, not only in the economical and political aspect but also in education and the social life. One of the populations most affected by this pandemic has been children. For adult people, understanding this type of situation is a bit easier, but how can you explain to a child that they cannot go out because if we do that we can get sick? At this stage of development, social interaction is a fundamental part of the learning process, therefore measures have been sought to ensure their continuity. This article represents one of them, the teaching of the reality that we are living through cartoons for children with autism that represent a population that requires a lot of attention and accompaniment. The work they did is simply beautiful and shows how much human beings can do to improve the society in which we live.

This is an interesting read. Sesame Street was one of the first shows to bring on a character who is diagnosed with Autism. Throughout all of this COVID crazziness this show has not only knocked down the wall of stereotypes but it helps kids with autism deal with the issue of mask wearing during covid.

This article is very important. We all know the situation that is happening around the world, and there are some labor fields that still working, the educational, for example, is one of them. The education has to continue working from distance, using different technological devices and platforms. Since this field does not stop, this article provides a good example of helping families with lessons at home, and even more important, we can not forget about Autism students. This was what called my attention, this article provides different lesson plans about all the subjects, around 7 different subjects, in order to help parents with the learning process at this time.

We often do not consider characteristics they do not pertain to us. In the middle of a pandemic, the role of being a parent and full time teacher can be tedious. In addition, having no special skill in dealing with children with special needs can be overwhelming. This free kit is offered to families who having special needs children. Within this kit, one can find detailed lesson plans, visuals, behavior management tools, and guides to ensure success.
