Sarah LittleRedfeather Kalmanson's insight:
A Letter from Hurley: "Tell your mothers and your daughters and your granddaughters what you are going to do tonight. Show them this picture of the ice spike and tell them she is a turdsicle. Tell them about the coal plant and the clean water and how the Indians up here are subhuman like my neighbors do. Then tell them you hope other areas will be dynamited and destroyed as well. Tell them you are with Alberta Darling and everything she says."

Proposed Wisconsin mining law: Economic boost or environmental blight? Its catastrophic! #IdleNoMore #BadRiver

Proposed Wisconsin mining law: Economic boost or environmental blight? Its catastrophic! #IdleNoMore #BadRiver | IDLE NO MORE WISCONSIN | Scoop.it
Sarah LittleRedfeather Kalmanson's insight:

The message is, "This is Wisconsin mining law: this could be coming to a town near you," Wiggins said last week.

Given the unusual difficulty of mining in the Penokee area, where Wiggins said the iron ore is tilted and difficult to reach, requiring many tons of wasted rock, he has started to suspect that the mining industry is trying to score a victory in his remote, impoverished area of the state in order to gain a legal foothold for other future projects.

Wiggins and Manley each spoke in Milwaukee this month to members of the Milwaukee Rotary Club.

"Absolutely" Fitz Has Votes to Pass #wimine Bill #nomine #BadRiver #IdleNoMore

February 20, 2013 - After Governor Walker's budget address, Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald said the Republican caucus "absolutely" has enough votes ...
Sarah LittleRedfeather Kalmanson's insight:

So Fitzgerald speaks for his collegues? Is he 100% certain that he has all the votes to pass the atrocious mining bill that relieves environmental standards and allows pollution to the air, lands, and water? We shall see ... there are actual human beings that have a heart as a human being that are second guessing things? You never know.

Sarah LittleRedfeather Kalmanson's insight:

#IdleNoMore to Protect our Lands, and Sacred Waters... Its a continued struggle! NOW, Senator McCain continues to strip away from Tribal Nations in Arizona (and Sioux Lands), who is in the Washington D.C., who will continue to effect the Tribal Nations across the Nation. Senator McCain has zero regard for Sovereignty, and Treaty Rights when it comes to drilling, Key Stone, Nuclear Plants, Coal Mines, and now, Copper and Uranium Mines (Land Swamp Bill) in the Canyons. Senator McCain and his colleagues have zero regard to Indigenous and Treaty Rights as Sovereign Nations. Stay tuned for the Broken Rainbow Documentary. - http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/02/15/iran-uranium-mine-senate-_n_2689999.html?ncid=edlinkusaolp00000003

I was born at Tohatchi, New Mexico and raised at Leupp, Arizona. My skin is white but I am no sister to this fool McCain. He needs to be striped of all his power. As has always been in this country there is no thought or love for anything or anyone but the big business. I believe if we look this fool has his greedy hands in these plants so he can make even more money that he doesn't need. Put wind turbines and solar power harms no one. I shed many tears for the people who were my family there on that reservation. I am sorry for what these white fools do.

=) So glad he did not win the 2008 Election.
Doña Lea-Johnson's comment, February 20, 2013 10:54 AM
Yes Sarah if he had won I can't imagine what horrors he would have done.
