Some of you may be working in a technology-rich environment where you have interactive whiteboards and students have access to the internet in the classroom, or a computer lab that you can take students to. Some of you may only have a single computer in your classroom or, perhaps, like the majority of schools around the world, you may have no computer access in school at all. Whichever is the case, this series will still have something to offer you and will enable you to offer something more to your students, either in class or through the development of more motivating homework tasks that students can access outside of school.

En el presente estudio se identifican los estilos de aprendizaje y su relación con ciertas características de navegación de algunos estudiantes de un curso en línea de posgrado en el entorno de la plataforma Moodle. Estos dos componentes podrían ayudar a considerar las características de aprendizaje de los estudiantes, y, en este sentido, a orientar el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje. Además, puede ser importante en la generación de conocimientos teórico-prácticos que posteriormente permitan profundizar en el tema. La investigación confirmó la existencia de relaciones significativas entre algunas características de navegación y un estilo de aprendizaje en particular, lo cual indica que debería estudiarse de manera más sistemática no solo la navegación, sino también los estilos en relación con algunas características de navegación.
By switching to Edmodo, I was able to shift the focus of my blog away from classroom management and towards the work of the students. Through this post, I hope to communicate some of the lessons I’ve learned along the way.
From a quick comparison of these two lists it may well look like the benefits far outweigh the disadvantages, but those disadvantages are BIG, especially the cost. If you are thinking of introducing iPads in your school, then I think by far the best way to start is just by having a few in the teachers’ staff room and letting the teachers explore them and see what they can do with them. If this can generate some enthusiasm then you could be on your way to having a 21st century language school.

With iPads, once we begin thinking beyond the confines of a page, anything is possible. Consider the video below created several years ago by two of my students. First they wrote plot summaries. Then they wrote character sketches. From there, they crafted paragraphs about theme, tying the visual and auditory elements of their videos back to the books. Finally, they created storyboards and bibliographies before producing and publishing their final product.
