How can students own their learning with critical thinking activities they’ll really love? Allowing our students to take stands on issues that matter to them engages the classroom in a way that fosters great critical thinking. Who? What? Why? When? Where? How? STEAM is not a class, a thing, or a trend…. it’s THE WORLD. @KrissyVenosdale

STEAM is not a class, a thing, or a trend…. it’s THE WORLD. @KrissyVenosdale | ICT Nieuws | Scoop.it
STEAM is the world.   It’s not a class, a club, or an event.  It’s the connection of learning with the world.   We debate the letters and what they mean, we reduce STEAM to a time in school, and we even argue it’s relevance.

All the while, STEAM is the world.  Good design?  It uses every aspect of STEAM, without formality and without even thinking about it.

Why is robotics awesome?  Because it can fit ANYWHERE in the curriculum.  It’s problem solving, critical thinking, cooperative learning, collaboration, play, exploration, creativity, and grit… all in one.    It’s often thought of as an afterschool program or an enrichment.  But robotics should be part of the everyday classroom.  Why? Because it has so much to offer.
