"If you’ve ever run into a .zip file on an iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad you will probably have discovered it’s a bit of a dead-end initially, because by default there isn’t much you can do with zips or any other archive format. That doesn’t mean you can’t open ZIP files though, and in fact these archives can be viewed, unzipped, and opened in iOS with relative ease, but you will need to download a free third party app before you’ll have the function included on your device. This will allow you view all of the contents of any zip file quickly, and also decompress the entire archive, or just extract a single file from a larger archive, providing quick access to the zip contents which can be saved locally or opened in another application of choice." Prezi isn't the only challenger of Keynote / Powerpoint any longer. Bunkr looks interesting, but I worry if this is not further transforming us into a cut'n'paste culture.

For some reason computer programing as a career seemed to take a back seat to other math/science/computer careers, esp.during the late 90s. Now it is time to get back to that, a million programers needed in the next 10 years is a great opportunity for many kids, I hope they do more to target more girls, not just boys.

The voting 'eggs' in the suitcase, where each needed to be programmed, are obsolete. Students and teachers can use their web devices to quickly set up polls and other interactive feedback quickly and easily with web based options, of which this is one of the simplest. For iPad users, check out NearPod, Socrative, or Doceri, each with its own feature ist, to see which works best for you! It can be difficult to move from traditonal modes of presentation to building interaction into instruction, but I am trying to plan future PD courses using this type of technology. I would love feedback from teachers and professional development specialists about what works, pitfalls to look out for, and any other resources that you may suggest.
