Thought that movies can be made only with fancy video software? Think again! This video here shows how you can make short movies using only graphics, clipart, animations and other PowerPoint elements. 


The video focusses on digital storybooks, but this technique is quite useful to make short movies even for a business presentation. You could even pick up an animated PowerPoint presentation tool and use that as the basis of for your short 'animated' movie. Something like this doesn't take too much of your time and adding a story/movie to your presentation will add more appeal and pizzazz to your slides!

Nu de technologie het mogelijk maakt om goed te onderzoeken wat er in ons brein gebeurt bij het gebruik van bijvoorbeeld sociale media, wordt ook duidelijk dat aan het gebruik van teveel technologie forse risico's zijn verbonden. Een fascinerende paradox, waar we nog niet mee klaar zijn."

The live online class connects my students and me for learning on a personal level and not just for information sharing. Enthusiasm is a key attitude in getting students to believe and trust the teacher online and face-to-face, but specifically online. There may be technical issues during the class. The only way to keep the students focused regardless of the technical issues is to encourage and create an atmosphere of trust. The teacher’s enthusiasm will facilitate and help the participants engage in what’s important; learning."

I think if departments reviewed their faculty, it would become clear to them which teachers should *not* be forced into using technology in the classroom.  Questionably, if those teachers cannot teach the assigned material any longer, they may be driven to learn it in order to keep their jobs, but honestly, if teachers don't possess these traits in today's world, the only thing they should probably be driven to is a different job....

The iPad's large multi-touch screen, sleek profile and the ability to easily download and purchase a huge variety of educational applications make it attractive to educators. This paper presents a case study of the iPad's adoption in a primary school, one of the first in the world to adopt it.

"ICILS (International Computer and Information Literacy Study) is een internationaal onderzoek naar de computer- en informatievaardigheden van scholieren. In het voorjaar van 2013 zullen scholieren uit het voortgezet onderwijs in verschillende landen worden getoetst. In opdracht van Kennisnet doet ook Nederland mee aan dit project.
