The report reviews the shifting online landscape, which has become more social and content rich, with expanded use of photos, video and audio. Looking ahead, the report finds early signs of growth for wearable computing devices, like glasses, connected wrist bands and watches - and the emergence of connected cars, drones and other new platforms.

Nell’economia della conoscenza - è la tesi di Nayar - il vero valore si crea nell’interfaccia tra cliente e dipendente; per cui ogni business di servizi che metta i dipendenti al primo posto mette automaticamente al primo posto il cliente, ma con un processo aziendale assai più trasformativo dei soliti programmi di ‘customer care’: combinare dipendenti motivati ed impegnati con un management ‘accountable’ che risponde loro delle proprie scelte è un differenziatore decisivo”.

The term “big data” is often taken to stand for the enormous quantity of data, but in a classic2001 Gartner report, analyst Doug Laney suggested that problems are created not just by thevolume of data being generated, but by the increasing velocity at which it is being created (33,000 ordered trades per second, for instance), as well as by its proliferating variety (think of “unstructured” data such as text documents, videos and pictures, for instance).

Una delle cause della crisi di Telecom Italia e' l’unbundling. Questo  significa prezzi decrescenti per i consumatori, e tutti noi europei ne abbiamo tratto vantaggio in questi anni. Ma questo svantaggio rischia di ritorcersi contro di noi se i prezzi - decrescendo troppo - mettono a rischio la convenienza a investire nelle nuove (indispensabili) infrastrutture ed espongono i grandi gruppi ai rischi di scalate da parte di chi ha le proprie basi in paesi con ordini di priorità diversi. Con conseguenze potenzialmente drammatiche per i territori e per l’indotto, se questo comportasse (come probabile) una drastica riduzione della presenza delle attività di R&D.
