Japan's nuclear watchdog said a toxic water leak at the Fukushima Daiichi power plant has been classified as a level 3 incident on an international scale.

Rising demands for electricity due to increased population of japan has driven the need for more energry to power growing cities, resulting in several nuclear power plants such as Fukushima's nuclear power plant. However, it has sparked conflict due to the radiactive water leaking out, contaminating the nearby water sources as well as being labelled a Level 3 accident on the global scale.

"The dam is working to take the edge off the fierce flood and reduce its impact on the river's lower reaches by storing at least 26,000 cubic meters of flood water every second, the Yangtze River flood control and drought relief, according to the Global Times."

Federal water experts and climatologists issued a grim report on the future of the Colorado River watershed to a gathering of state lawmakers from around the West in Las Vegas.

"this article explains the cost of water conservation in some areas where water is highly demanded (said to reach billions of dollars just to conserve one river) but experts also say that the cost of doing nothing would affect the WHOLE of South Nevada which means they are worst off if they choose to do nothing. it also mentions that the dry weather condition west of the area has a significant effect on the Colorado river. in addition it also mentioned that solutions are not carried out yet because of financial debt of the water authority, this shows how some solutions rely on financial requirements"
