“Not every company has a large marketing team so the marketers need to deliver real customer insight regardless of their own background.
David Jones's insight:

Marketing teams need to be diverse in age, gender and ethnicity. But there will always be a role for research in deepening understanding. The views of one or two staff of a particular age or ethnic group are unlikely to be sufficiently representative to base key decisions on. Diversity is important but it is not the total answer to insight and understanding.
