Homophobia encompasses a range of negative attitudes and feelings toward homosexuality or people who are identified or perceived as being lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender (LGBT). Rishi Suresh's curator insight, December 5, 2013 10:21 PM

This picture is incredible. It is deeply shocking. Google is sometimes a symbol of modern times, a website capable of accessing information worldwide and updated in real-time. One side effect of its usefulness is that it used by millions, if not billions, of people worldwide. Thus, its search trends represent an extremely large worldview, or at least views shared by millions of people. The most appalling thing about this picture is the search bar. Those suggestions represent searches searched by hundreds of millions of people. This is almost embarassing for humanity that this many people would actually feel this way. The way the bar is situated in front of the woman's mouth is also symbolic: they are being quieted and silenced by these comments.
