Silas Risbjerg Terkelsen's insight:

Since a lot of our readers are often asking us about the skill sets of user experience designers, information architects, accessibility specialists and others, we decided to write a short overview of their roles in a user experience design team.
Silas Risbjerg Terkelsen's insight:

The Dribbblisation of Design - Inside Intercom

The Dribbblisation of Design - Inside Intercom | Human Centered Design, UX | Scoop.it
There are divergent things happening in the product and interaction design community. On one hand, we have some amazing pieces of writing from the likes of Ryan Singer and Julie Zhuo, moving our craft forward.
Silas Risbjerg Terkelsen's insight:

The Z-Axis: Designing for the Future

The Z-Axis: Designing for the Future | Human Centered Design, UX | Scoop.it
For years we’ve seen the web as a two-dimensional space filled with pages that sit side by side on a flat, infinite plane. But as the devices we design for take on an increasingly diverse array of shapes and sizes, we must embrace new ways of designing up and down. Designing on the z-axis means incorporating three-dimensional physics into our interface designs. Wren Lanier explains how, by using the z-axis to place interface elements above or below one another, we can create better design systems that are more flexible and intuitive to use—and create new patterns that point the way to future interactions.

Webstock '13: Mike Monteiro - How Designers Destroyed the World

You are directly responsible for what you put into the world. Yet every day designers all over the world work on projects without giving any thought or consideration…
Silas Risbjerg Terkelsen's insight:
