Pastor John Wagner leads Turning Point Community Church in Lubbock, Texas, where he employs his leadership skills and extensive knowledge of the Bible to guide the congregation and bring new members into the fold. Prior to assuming that position, Pastor John Wagner served as a Teaching Pastor and Executive Pastor at Faith Church. He oversaw the daily operations of the church, which is located in New Milford, Connecticut, and managed worship, small group events, and children and youth ministry activities.
From 2006 to 2007, he acted as Executive Pastor of Discovery Church, a multi-site church in Orlando, Florida. There, he gained experience with the ministry, worship, and pastoral care aspects of church leadership. Previously, he worked as a Youth Pastor with Faith Fellowship Ministries World Outreach Center, a congregation with more than 5,000 members in Sayreville, New Jersey.
In order to prepare for his 25-year career in church leadership and faith-based teaching, Pastor John Wagner earned a Bachelor of Arts in General Education from Golden State University in Los Angeles. He also received a Master of Arts in Theology and Religion from Honolulu University in Hawaii. In 1988, he was ordained as a minister by Covenant Ministries International after attending Northeastern Bible College, where he studied pastoral ministries.
During his free time, Pastor John Wagner enjoys spending time with his wife and five children. In addition to watching his children in their various athletic pursuits, he likes to play tennis or immerse himself in a well-crafted book or film.
