In fact, there are a surprising number of Silicon Valley titans who refuse to let their kids near certain devices. There’s a private school in the Bay Area and it doesn’t allow any tech — no iPhones or iPads. The really interesting thing about this school is that 75 percent of the parents are tech executives".

You want innovation? Improvise. (I mean it)

You want innovation? Improvise. (I mean it) | Modern Marketing Revolution | Scoop.it
Improvisers produce 20% more product ideas and 25% more creative ideas than professional product designers.
Art Jones's insight:

I generally adhere to the notion that "Failing to plan is planning to fail." However, this article points out that the most creative and innovative designers plan less and simply do more.

When thinking about the notion of Improvisation as a way to inspire creativity,  the definitions for the words Improvise and extemporaneous show us how we improvise means everything.

Improvise:

To compose, utter, execute, or arrange anything extemporaneously:

Extemporaneously:Done, spoken, performed, etc., without special advance preparation; impromptu:Makes me think of two expressions, one very old and the other relatively new. Old: Perfect is the enemy of the good.New: Just Do It!

Is Live Video Really the Next Big Thing? - Curalate | Modern Marketing Revolution | Scoop.it
Will brands use livestreaming video as another touchpoint to reach consumers — or is it a passing fad? Let’s investigate.
Art Jones's insight:

Video is a powerful modality for sharing your ideas.

There are those that believes live streaming offers greater value than video. They believe live streaming enables real time opportunity for audience engagement vs. the latent engagement (achieved only after a like, subscribe and/or comment on the video are made by the viewer).

This article suggest the jury is still out on if live streaming. They ask the reader is the future live streaming, or is it simply another fad.

Art Jones's insight:

When you are in the business of promoting your brand and you do not, do the work to, provide an amazing user experience, shame on you.

There was a time not many years ago, when simply knowing which one or offline channel to promote your product on was enough. Today everyone is using those same channels and making lots of noise. So what is a brand to do?

HOW we advertise, market, promote and sell of products and services means everything.  Do your best to assure you entertain your ideal prospects sufficiently for them to remember how it made them feel, and they will come back for more.
